Carol has set X. J. Kennedy's enchanting cycle of poems to original music for harp and voice. The CD also includes her settings of Thomas Hardy's "The Oxen" and the "Carol from The Wind in the Willows" by Kenneth Grahame, as well as other original pieces and medieval and traditional carols celebrating the magical roles played by animals in legends of the Nativity.

The wonderful guest musicians on the CD are Charles Coley, bassoon and recorder, Sylvia Hankin, percussion, Laurie Robertson, vocals, Ken Turner, acoustic and synthesized percussion, Hugh Wallis, vocals, Tina Wing, vocals, and Louisiana jazz legend Rick Condit, Irish whistle.
