Laurie Robertson

Laurie Robertson, a native of Lake Charles, studied voice at McNeese with Michele Martin. While pursuing her degree she sang the role of Cinderella in Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods, produced by the McNeese Theatre Department, and performed as a soloist with the McNeese Wind Ensemble, singing Four Maryland Songs by the contemporary American composer Jack Stamp. She has performed as a soloist with the Louisiana Chroal Foundation on several occasions in works including Noye's Fludde by Benjamin Britten, Vivaldi's Gloria, and John Rutter's Requiem. Most recently, she returned to Lake Charles from Houston, where she now resides, as a featured soloist in the Choral Foundation's presentation of the Missa Brevis by Imant Raminsh.
